WHY DO YOU NEED US?
It is true that many claims are settled without a Public Loss Assessor. It is also true that many tax returns are filed without an Accountant. Would you let the tax office calculate your tax return? You are not required to accept the insurance company’s assessment of your claim if you disagree with it. You are quite within your rights to seek independent professional help.
The only reason why anyone takes out an insurance policy is to protect them against the possibility of a claim. When a claim does arise, you have the right to expect that your Insurance Company will deal with it in a sympathetic manner and in such a way that does not leave you financially disadvantaged.
Sadly, the reality is sometimes quite different.
HOW ARE CLAIMS HANDLED?
At Claimrite, we will work with you and on your behalf with your insurer. You will have a specialist allocated to your claim from start through to finish. This means that you have one person solely responsible and accountable for all areas of your claim, keeping you fully informed on the progress.
WHO PAYS THE LOSS ASSESSOR FEES?
Our first consultation, where we will work with you to fully understand your claim, is free.
Once we establish that we can help and you engage us to do so the responsibility for the payment of our fees is with you. The extra amount we are able to achieve for you will, in most cases, outweigh our fees.
There is no cover under residential policies for the payment of a public loss assessors fees.
In most cases we charge an hourly rate for the work we do, in others a percentage of the settlement amount is agreed or a set fee depending on the type of claim and service needed.
